I'M BAAACK (and fatter than ever!)

Thanks sooooo much for being so worried about us, for saying so many nice things about missing me, for being really nice to Jack (he's never been on the internet before), and for coming back. I'm not 100% sure what's been going on with my human (I heard her say something about gory details and didn't want to ask) but she's doing OK enough now to let me use her thumbs again.

So. Other than missing me missing you, you haven't missed much.
Our stay at the HOM was pretty much the same as always: way too short, ridiculously fun and full of food. Tasty food. Meaty food.

As always, The Man promised not to feed us too much and like always, he totally broke that promise. He also promised to pick up a bag of dog food before bringing us home and you know what a trip to the food store means. Yup. A weigh in.

Are you serious??

Dude totally overfeeds us... and then sticks my butt on a freaking scale. Yeah. He said it would make my human feel better to see that I didn't get fat. Except, uh, I kinda did.

Hello 26.1! Ugh.

Luckily The Man doesn't know about the 25 pound rule so we got loads of snacks at the dog food store (uh, more on that tomorrow). He also made me pose with a box of diet food. Said it would make my human laugh and feel better. No idea why, but it totally did.

My human is super happy about being back and feeling almost human again so she hasn't say a word about the whole 26.1 thing. But if she does, I'm going to make her feel extremely guilty for shipping us off to the House of Meat to get fat. And for making us sleep on the floor when we got home. AND for making me miss everyone. AND for making you go though withdrawal. AND...

Yay Puglet! You're back! We've totally missed you and Dutch and your human. We're so glad she's feeling somewhat human again- at least enough for her thumbs to do the work. The Man does a pretty good job with the camera- don't worry about the diet food- I have to eat it too- usually in the winter when the tubiness packs on a little around the middle. You look great, about a week older, but great.
Maybe you can sleep in your human's bed for a night or two- keep her warm until she's back to her usual self. Sulk or something- usually works for me...

We missed you! What's 1.1 pounds among friends?

HiYa Puglet...we missed you! And Dutch and your human. Let's hope things at your humble abode get back to normal soon, its hard on a pug to be out of their element. Hey thats the ticket, blame your weight gain on being out of your element..thats totally not your fault.
If you play your cards right and look forlorn maybe you can sleep in the real bed instead of the store bought on the floor one.

We are sooo relieved to see you again, even if there is a little more of you. We were starting to feel like stalkers, trying to find out if everyone was okay. Glad you're back. We hope you know now that you have many friends and we are here to help always.

Yippe it's so good to have you ALL back. After Stubby went to sleep, we were afraid your human went to sleep too but we are glad she is awake again. I think we all will miss 'Stubby My Man' even though some of us never got to meet the sweet ole' boy. Thank you, from my Forever Mom, for all that pug therapy. I'm totally going up on the L.B.s too. I think it's the scale at the vet office. And here's why. It's weird. Sometimes my Forever Mom takes me to a really cool vet far away for special treatments for my eyes and I know she has to pay ALOT more there but I always weigh less there. I think it's kinda like an expensive clothing store where you are all sudden are a size 4 but you know you really are a size 10. Pay More - Weigh Less. So I say go check out other vet offices. And Always Always BLOW OUT ALL OF YOUR AIR before you get on the scale coz' air must weigh something right? Give Dutch a Dutch Rub from all of us in the wine country. Puglet, we are soooo happy to have you back and hear things are ok...and if your human does need some help or anything, I am sure there are many on this blog who would be willing to help out. As for the weight gain, there is more of you to love..both of us are a little nervous to get on the scale at upcoming vet appointments (however, a lady never tells her weight).

Tink...maybe the other vet is at a different elevation and thats why the scales are different????

Puglet I totally know where you are coming from! I put on, gulp, 2 PLUS pounds over the holidays and I was already 1 pound overweight! Whimper, whimper. I am on a, dare I say it, D-I-E . . . can't say the word but basically it means NO treats and Mommy CUT my rations by 20%.

sooooo happy you're back !!!!!!!!!!! sooooo happy !! I love all 26.1 of you Puglet :)

Well, Puglet, the scale doesn't lie but atleast you still look svelte. Maybe you need to spend a little time at my place with Barney and Beulah--after they got sick at Christmas they both lost weight so they're getting extra rations so they can gain back what they lost. As well, since it is -28 degrees celcius, they can have a little extra meat on the bones. I guess that's the good thing about living in the cold climate!

BTW, that converts to about -18F

Hey Puglet! Well I totally think you are cute As Is...but I have some advice (maybe). My vet said I was too big...so I went on a diet. I get loads of green beans and less kibbles ate dinner time. Plus for treats I get carrot slices or celery. I love it and lost 3lbs this month. I haven't even excersied yet either (bum leg). If you like green beans you could try it out. If you don't like green beans then it will suck.

hey bud,

I feel your pain, I went to the vet and she said I was fat! Me, you, Boka yea but me no never. Mom said that since I make fun of you and Boka about being on the "chubbie" side that Karma was biting me in the butt. I don't know who Karma is but if she bites me I'm gonna go poddle on her! So we can diet togeather.

Your chubbie spot friend Miley

Puglet,
So glad things are getting back to normal at Casa de Pug (we were all really worried about your human)!
It's winter so you're allowed to be a chunky monkey. And besides, there's 1.1 lbs more of you for your human to snuggle with while she gets better.
If there's anything you guys need, please tell us! My human will send off a care package in a nano second (that mean's really really fast) and she would be very happy to do so.
To quote Zoey and Phoebe again, you have many friends here who want to help.
Maybe your human would like some Canadian maple syrup? Tasty and full of antioxidants!

Puglet... TOTALLY missed you and SO HAPPY you are back! We were seriously having withdrawals here.

I'm feeling your pain on the scales... my number is bigger than yours and it's no fun being this pudgy! Treats are gone, food is scarce and they're walking me all the time! Why does the poundage come on so fast and take so long to go away?!

pug!

Welcome back! We missed you! My human says not to worry about the 1.1 pounds. I'm a bit more than that, even with one less toe!

My human wanted to tell you to go to crashthesuperbowl.com. There is a pug commercial in the finals for the superbowl!

Welcome back Puglet, and hope your mom is feeling 100% better.

About that extra weight, me Romeo, is on a strict regimen of measured food. I am not allowed to go over 25 lbs. either. I only get one treat twice a day, and that's only because my sister Missy gets Phenobarbital twice a day in a pill pocket...I get a Wellness treat. I could eat a lot more if my mom let me, but she is a meany and won't budge.

YAY!!!!! I've missed you, Puglet! Oh, and I TOTALLY get fat in the winter but you have to admit, fat never looked better than on a Pug...we wear it sooooo well!

So good to hear from you Puglet. I hope all is returning to normal at your house. I feel ya with the whole weight thing. I haven't been on the scale in a bit, but we are getting like zero exercise in thiaps crappy weather. We only get a tiny amount of food though, so we are starving all the time. Blech.

Hey there Pug!

I think the 1.1 lbs, along with your handsome gray snout, makes you look super sophisticated.

And, I'm with Barbara up above, what is 1.1 lbs amongst friends!? Blame it on stress, that's what my human does when she gains a little tubey-ness :)

Others have said it, but my human wants you to know that if you, your Human, Dutch or anyone of your pack ever need anything on the left coast we can help!

Licks,

Bye,
Fred

welcome back to the e-world puglet! mom was very worried when you weren't updating but yay to being back. i was at 23lbs a few years ago and the vet wasn't happy but i had to be on special food for something called bladder crystals. but those went away last year so mom switched me to a high protein grain free food thats reaaally tasty! i'm down to lean 18lbs (which is perfect for a girl pug) but now i'm not allowed to lick mom's face because i can now reach to lick my butt. without the extra chub i can lick my hindquarters easily so mom says no licking her face any more...something about 'butt breath'. I'm sure your mom already feeds you really good food thats grain free but if not, maybe a switch would help?

Hmm. That's funny Pugelt - I thout 26.1 was a reference to a marathon. Oops, maybe that's 26.2? Nevermind.....
